Right ventricular hypertrophy
Basic criteria
- Right axis deviation > +110°
- Dominant R wave in V1
- R in V1 often ≥ 7 mm, R’ ≥ 10 if RBBB
- R/S > 1 in V1
- Dominant S wave in V5 or V6
- R/S ≤ 1 in V5 or V6
- Often secondary ST-T changes in V1-V3 (strain pattern)
- Note: tall R in V1 may be normal in kids
